Can the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots?

The stage for Super Bowl 42 has been set. The New York Giants are going to play the undefeated New England Patriots on Feb, 3rd, 2008. The New York Giants are coming off 10 straight road victories, which include the regular season. Also, the New England Patriots are coming off an undefeated regular season. These teams played in week 17, which was the last week of the regular season. The Giants put up a good fight, but ended up losing 38-35. This game gave the Patriots a perfect 16-0 season. The first perfect season since the 1972 Miami Dolphins.

The question everyone has been asking is, if the Giants can beat the Patriots? Personally, I believe the Giants have no chance. The Giants players don't match up against the Patriots. The Patriots are way too talented. They have a great defence, great offensive line and the best Quarterback in the league. The Patriots play in a tougher conference than the Giants and the Patriots have a lot more playoff experience then the Giants. After winning this Super Bowl, the Patriots will have 4 Championships in 7 years. This New England Patriots team is the definition of a dynasty.

Terrell Owens

Terrell Owens and the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated by the New York Giants in the NFC divisional game last week. After the game, I was expecting Terrell Owens to freak out and demand a trade. Instead, he came out and defended his teammates along with his quarterback Tony Romo. He even started crying. I'm not sure if he was faking it or he actually cared about his teammates.

This was a complete shocker to me, because Terrell Owens has been known to blame his teammates and point the finger at them. Before getting sent off to the Dallas Cowboys in 2006, Owens used to play on the Philadelphia Eagles. A team which he played a major role on getting to the Superbowl in 2005. Terrell Owens and the Philadelphia Eagles lost, and Terrell Owens blamed the whole loss on his teammate and quarterback Donovan McNabb. The next season, Owens had problems with his teammates and a problem with Donovan McNabb. He was released after being suspended by the Philadelphia Eagles for the season, and signed by the Dallas Cowboys in time for the 2006 season.

I believe Terrell Owens has learned his lesson. If the Philadelphia Eagles didn't suspend Terrell Owens for the 2005 season, he would still be a bad teammate. It seems like Terrell Owens finally understands that no one man team will be successful. I personally don't like Terrell Owens, but I believe that this is the best sports interview of 2008 so far.
