How can I have a sports blog in Vancouver without talking about the beloved Canucks. Well here is the first and hopefully the last post about the Vancouver Canucks.
Unlike everybody in Vancouver, I hate the Canucks. Every year I hope they don't make the playoffs or are eliminated very quickly. They usually make the playoffs and are eliminated in the first or second round.
The reason I don't like the Canucks is that I'm so sick and tired of hearing about this team over and over again. I even hear about the Canucks all day when the NHL season is over. I find it pretty boring and not entertaining. I especially hate it when people tell me that the Canucks are going to win the Stanley Cup. I've been hearing that for about 5-10 years now and it hasn't happened yet. It probably won't happen anytime soon either. The team seems to be very inconsistent and needs improvement. However, the GM of the Canucks hasn't really made any good moves after firing Brian Burke. He has only made one good move since he's been here and that was when he brought in Roberto Luongo.
I haven't heard anybody tell me that this is the Canucks' year yet. I think I just stopped paying attention or maybe the Canucks fans are starting to give up on their team. I hope they don't make the playoffs and a rival wins the Stanley Cup. That should drive Canucks fans crazy.

OH MY GOD, FINALLY SOMEONE THAT FEELS THE SAME WAY AS I DO!! I absolutely hate the Canucks!...to tell you the truth, I was a fan till the 94 playoffs. After that horrible loss; I knew there was no hoping for the Canucks to ever win the Stanley Cup.
Your such a hater! I love the Canucks! Just let them be! Haha! One year they're going to make it and you'll be begging for tickets! Just wait and see!
I want the Canunks to win, but I know that will be a cold day in hell before that happens. They so over paid for what they do, makes me angry.
I give credits to the Canucks because they represent Vancouver. Although I hate to say it, they are always falling short of the fans expectation. What's sad about it is that Vancouverites have been singing praises about how the Canucks would become the Stanley Cup winner before the game has even begun. It's a shame these people are eating all the words them been saying.
You're missing out on one of the joys of living in Vancouver :P
It sucks that they can't get their game together, but I'm still a Canucks fan :)
